Your friendly hosts, Don a retired lawyer and Lorraine a special needs teacher, have travelled extensively and have lived in London and more recently Hong Kong.
They enjoy the fellowship of Rotary with Don having served as District Governor for New Zealand's most southern district. This included the Wanaka area and Central Otago.
Don has been a keen trout fisherman for many years and says the peace, solitude and beauty the rivers and lake Wanaka offer, is just exquisite. His other interests are golf, photography, jazz and of course the local wines.
Lorraine's passions include design, reading and the movies. She designed the guest accommodation as well as the contemporary Asian garden that everyone enjoys.
